ABOUT ME
Hi! My name is Alex Silalahi, and I'm a Technical Game Designer and Narrative Designer.
I'm a Technical Game Designer and Narrative Designer with a BS in Game Development and Design and a BA in Creative Writing.
Whether I'm eagerly flipping to the next page of a book or clicking the "next" button for the next line of dialogue, I've always found myself fascinated with the various different forms that stories take to transport us into a different world. And what I love most about videogames as a storytelling medium is the interaction - when players can interact with the complex yet vivid world and unforgettable characters, driving the story with the choices they make. With a blend of my technical and creative skill sets, I've had the pleasure to work on some really fun projects! I recently worked on Resolute Games Inc.'s Eldramoor: Haven in the Mist to not only bring the world of Eldramoor to life, but to also bring together a community centered around accessibility and inclusivity for fellow Eldramoorians. Other notable projects I've previously worked on are: the Korean language-learning game, Stranger; a Family Feud-inspired client project, The Big Feud; as well as my very own passion project, the Reversed series. |

Stranger is a first-person adventure game following the journey of the player, who recently moves to Korea and finds out that they're a "stranger" in an unfamiliar world. As an educational game, Stranger challenges the player's knowledge in the language and culture of Korea through the activities, blogposts, and conversations across a fictional district in Korea. Players can also tailor their own adventure depending on how well they do, allowing for repeatable gameplay to achieve a better ending. Recent Articles: |
Reversed: Interlude
Reversed: Interlude is a 2.5D RPG game that acts as a preview to the next installment in the series. The game can be played before starting the Reversed series or after playing Reversed and/or Reversed: Ken’s Chapter.
Players will play as Mike Insen, a criminal on the run (before his reincarnation in the Reversed series). Players must escape the Koyangi Offices and avoid getting caught by the one and only Ken Mesini under a pressing time limit. With guards to fight off and puzzles to solve, it’s up to the player’s quick thinking to escape in time. |
