Snapshot System (Made in UE5)

The Snapshot System is inspired by Honkai Star Rail's Operation Memoria Snapshot minigame.

​Key Features:

• Players aim the camera at different colored trashcans placed throughout the level and take a photo to earn points
• Each trashcan is worth a certain number of points, with gold trashcans worth the most points
• Players move along a designated path and have limited control of the camera
• Goal is to take as many pictures as possible before the level ends!

A sample of code that is called when the player presses the left mouse button to take a photo.

Code Breakdown:

1. Check whether Seeing Photo Boolean is False (this is set to True whenever another widget is in focus).
   
   1. This is to prevent players from taking photos when they cannot (For example, the ending screen with the final score).
2. If Seeing Photo Boolean is False, then pause the game, which will stop the player in their path.
3. The photo display widget is then created and displayed to the player using the Scene Capture Component 2D attached to the camera.
   1. The Scene Capture Component 2D essentially captures the current scene and saves this to a dynamic texture, which can then be displayed in a widget.
   2. The photo is displayed and the score is updated, depending on whether or not the player successfully took a picture of the trashcan, in the set photo display and update score function.
